The Future of NASGW

Founded in 1953, NASGW will celebrate its 70th Anniversary in 2023. What better opportunity to look back on the role NASGW has historically played in the shooting sports industry and lay out a plan for where NASGW is going as we eclipse that 70 year mark. To guide us, there needs to be a path forward. NASGW Vision 70 is that path.
Vision 70 is NASGW's path forward.

A Show and Handshake Deals

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers was organized in 1953 and incorporated in 1954. The Association was originally identified as the Sporting Goods Jobbers Association. In 1962 the name was officially changed, and manufacturers and reps were invited to join as Associate members. The NASGW is the organizer and sponsor of the industry's former Hunting Show, which started in 1974, now known as the NASGW EXPO. This annual event provides an unmatched educational, marketing, and communications opportunity for the hunting and shooting sports wholesaler, manufacturer, and sales professional.

Expanding Beyond the NASGW Expo

Today NASGW is the premier organization for bringing together wholesaler buyers and sellers in the shooting sports industry. The NASGW Expo is the single most productive event, in regards to sales and product movement, throughout the year. NASGW's data initiative has set out to become the most accurate, sales driven source of data for the shooting sports industry, compiled into the SCOPE suite of tools.

A Data Driven Industry Resource, Bring Buyers & Sellers Together

As outside threats continue to loom over the shooting sports industry, business and distribution have been growing increasingly challenging. As the industry evolves, NASGW and the services it provides need to evolve with it. Over the next couple of years, leading up to the 70th Anniversary, NASGW will be making some changes to the way we do business.
