SAF: April 2026

Recent News Industry Partners 4/13/26 9:31 AM Second Amendment Foundation 4 min read

In what was a very busy first quarter for the Second Amendment Foundation, the organization was handed a big win in the U.S. Post Office carry ban lawsuit, filed a new case challenging the constitutionality of the National Firearms Act, and welcomed new corporate partners and renewals. Check out the full details, and more, below:

SAF Announces New Corporate Partners, Several Renewals

Over the course of the past month, SAF welcomed two new corporate partners, and four companies renewed their partner commitments.

Die Free Co. and Langdon Tactical both joined the organization at the Silver-level while Taurus, Field Ethos, Blackout Coffee and Vortex all renewed their support for SAF.

Beyond their new and renewed commitments, corporate partners participate in SAF’s monthly sweepstakes program throughout the year, support the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference or provide products for event giveaways.

“We’re grateful to stand alongside partners who recognize that our right to keep and bear arms must never be treated as a second-class right,” SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut said. “Every day, SAF is in courtrooms across the nation fighting to protect and restore constitutional freedoms for the next generation. That work is only possible because of our steadfast partners who invest in the long-term defense of liberty.”

SAF Win: Post Office Carry Ban Injunction Covers Current And Future Members

In a case that has far-reaching implications, a District Court Judge in Texas held in favor of the Second Amendment Foundation and its partners, confirming that all current and future members are covered by the injunction granted in the case which prevents the enforcement of the post office carry ban at most ordinary locations.

In September, the Northern District of Texas ruled in favor of SAF and declared the carry ban on post office property unconstitutional, enjoining its enforcement against the plaintiffs, including SAF and its members. In response to the ruling, the government filed a motion to limit the scope of the injunction to only the named individual plaintiffs and to members of SAF and its partner organizations who were members when the complaint was originally filed and who have been identified and verified.

“This is a huge win for current and future SAF members nationwide,” SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut said. “There was never a constitutional justification to disarm people who simply need to go to the post office. Despite the government’s attempt to continue to enforce this unconstitutional law against as many people as possible, the court followed the law and confirmed that all current and future SAF members are covered by the injunction against the enforcement of this ban. If you’re not already, this is a great time to become a SAF member.”

SAF Files Amicus Urging Supreme Court to Protect Firearms Industry

The Second Amendment Foundation and its partners filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to grant certiorari in a case challenging New York’s law that undermines the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).

The case challenges the continued filing of abusive public nuisance lawsuits against firearms manufacturers and dealers. SAF is joined in the amicus filing by the National Rifle Association of America and the Independence Institute.

The Second Circuit’s erroneous ruling threatens to revive the very litigation campaign that Congress enacted PLCAA to halt, potentially devastating the firearms industry and undermining the constitutional rights it supports.

SAF Supports Third Lawsuit Challenging Constitutionality of NFA

In an effort to remove the remaining registration requirements from the National Firearms Act (NFA) for silencers and short-barreled rifles, the Second Amendment Foundation is now supporting a third lawsuit challenging the law.

SAF itself is a named plaintiff in the NFA lawsuit Brown v. ATF and is now backing two additional challenges – Jensen v. ATF and the newly filed Roberts v. ATF. Filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the named plaintiffs in Roberts are Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, Center for Human Liberty, American Suppressor Association Foundation, Buckeye Firearms Association, Meridian Ordnance and two private citizens.
