GREETINGS!

Welcome to the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW). By enrolling, you've demonstrated that two-step distribution is important to you, your company, and your future.

Let us assure you, by joining the NASGW and utilizing two-step distribution, you are now part of a community that provides first class service to customers in all 50 states and in some cases, around the globe.

The NASGW promise, as the organization representing the business interests of its member wholesalers, manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, service and suppliers, and trade industry members, is summed up in two words: WHOLESALE TRUST.

Since our humble beginnings in the 1950s, the power of NASGW lies with its members. Our founders recognized the strength from pooling interests, networking and providing programs and services that benefit all members and the industry at large.

For many decades, we've brought the advantages of two-step distribution to sporting goods manufacturers, retailers and any other company with a business interest in this arena. And despite the massive changes we've seen in the distribution channel and sales of shooting sports related merchandise, the NASGW and its member companies continue to adapt and adjust, while continuing to grow our influence and capabilities.

Distribution today is a highly technological and sophisticated process, all with one thing in mind, helping our entire channel run smoothly and efficiently, so the end-consumer doesn't even know we're here. Our purpose is simple: partner with all sections of the sales channel so consumers can get the firearms, ammunition and accessories they need, when they need it, and at a fair price.

As part of NASGW, you're now part of this community of passionate and dedicated shooting sports enthusiasts. We welcome you and we look forward to working with you to expand our presence and impact. The NASGW continues to break new ground with new programs to help you become a stronger and better business.

If at any time you have questions or need anything regarding your new membership, the very talented team at NASGW stands ready to help.

Again, welcome and let us know how we can help make the most of your membership.

HISTORY

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers was organized in 1953 and incorporated in 1954. The Association was originally identified as the Sporting Goods Jobbers Association. In 1962 the name was officially changed, and manufacturers and reps were invited to join as Associate members. The NASGW is the organizer and sponsor of the industry's Annual Meeting/Expo Event. This annual event provides an unmatched educational, marketing and communications opportunity for the hunting and shooting sports wholesaler, manufacturer and sales professional.

Today, after years of service, NASGW continues to bring the advantages of two-step distribution to sporting goods manufacturers, providing them with vital benefits to help better manage production and spread cash flow, while reducing financial risks. At the other end of the channel, we benefit retailers by helping them understand the market, plan and prepare inventory and serve as a provider of credit to assist them in having just what their customers need.
