It's Time for the NASGW Expo

Can you believe it is already time for the NASGW Expo? If you are anything like me, you and your teams are scrambling to get all your ducks in a row for another busy week at NASGW. This year’s event is a big milestone, celebrating 50 years of the NASGW Expo. This event dates back to 1974 and we’ve only missed one year since then, 2020.  NASGW may not be as well-known as NRA or NSSF, but the work that our members and board of directors is accomplishing on behalf of the industry is beginning to make impact.  The Expo itself, is smaller comparatively to SHOT Show or NRA’s Annual Meeting, but it’s laid back, productive, and more personable experience is where business gets done. So, take care of all your last-minute details, double check your meeting schedule, and get ready, because we will be in KC very soon.

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) in partnership with the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA), has chosen the top three products in seven categories including Best New Rifle, Best New Handgun, Best New Shotgun, Best New Ammunition, Best New Optic, Best New Accessory, and Best New Suppressor. An independent panel of 18 industry judges, comprised of NASGW members and POMA members, selected the finalists in each category. In order to qualify, manufacturers needed to be a NASGW member in good standing and the product must have been publicly released after November 1st, 2023.

The NASGW Bill Tracker monitors pending legislation that directly affects the firearms industry, at the Federal and State level. The bills are reflective of the current legislative sessions based on jurisdiction and include defeated, passed and pending bills until the current legislative session ends. Sort bills by their current progress, category, state or region and bill year. Stay informed about current legislation in the works before it impacts your business.

The 2024 Expo App is now available for download on both IOS and Android. Expo attendees can utilize the app to stay up on the Expo schedule, look up exhibitor booth locations, access the Expo floorplan, agenda, New Product Showcase, and of course manage their profile. Exhibitors are also able to manage their business description, logos, website link and social media links. Exhibitors were emailed a link and username and password to access their exhibitor profile. The app is a great tool to find Expo information quickly while at the show.
